**We have finished our research and testing of the Composition Shingle Gauge, and have made several alterations to ensure the Shingle Gauge conforms to 2009 warranty levels. Since manufacturers' warranties and available products change, we periodically re-evaluate the Shingle Gauge to deliver the most accurate product possible. Our "4/09" Shingle Gauge arrived 7/15/09, and is available now.

• Why did you re-test the gauge? Since the Shingle Gauge is based on manufacturers’ available product line and the warranties they offer for those products, we need to periodically re-evaluate the shingle gauge and update when necessary. We rely on our research and testing to deliver the most accurate product possible. The gauge was developed in late 2004, re-tested in 2006, and again re-tested early 2009. Our commitment to research and testing makes the Shingle Gauge a unique product we can stand behind. 
• Do I need to buy a new shingle gauge? Our previous shingle gauge is still helpful in estimating the warranty level of the shingles installed on the roof. However, if your goal is to determine a replacement value or a current warranty level, our new Shingle Gauge (labeled with the date “4/09” located below Haag’s logo) would provide the most accurate measurement.
• When will you re-evaluate this Shingle Gauge again? We estimate re-testing the Shingle Gauge again in 2012-2013, barring any unforeseen industry trends.
