Exterior Insulation & Finish Systems helps students understand problems with exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS). This course includes a brief history of EIFS and thorough descriptions of EIFS components and installation. We emphasize traditional and recent drainage channel-type details in residential application. Case studies illustrate material and application problems, and hail, wind, and mechanical damage. Finally, a summary of key issues provides students with a checklist to identify EIFS damage or susceptibility to failure.
